Since 2000, my artistic practice has been oriented towards sculpture and more especially woodcarving. During walks, the eye detects pieces of trees just waiting to be expressed: branches, trunks or roots... This encounter with the material is crucial, it initiates a creative connection between the wood and my ability to read it, which allows me to make its original pre-registred lines and shapes, visible to other persons. My artwork borns with this correspondence, in direct carving, thanks to the wood lines.
